Your information is used to provide the service you asked for.
This notice explains the information Anchor Web Co collects through this website, why it is used and how to ask a question or request access or deletion.
Information collected
When you submit a project enquiry, the form may collect your name, email, phone number, business suburb, current website, project stage, selected website plan and the brief you provide. The form service also records technical information such as the submission time, IP address, browser user agent and source page for security, spam prevention and delivery troubleshooting.
When you request a website health check, the service collects the website URL and email address you enter, the resulting technical checks and scores, and service diagnostics needed to generate and send the report.
The website records limited usage information including pages viewed, referral and campaign parameters, links and calls to action clicked, form starts and confirmed submissions, broad device and viewport information, approximate region where available, and web-performance measurements. The first-party analytics system uses a rotating pseudonymous visitor identifier rather than asking for your identity.
PostHog analytics is used by default to understand landing pages, navigation paths, heatmaps and privacy-masked session replays. Form areas are blocked from session recording, all input values are masked, URLs are reduced to their path before custom processing, and Anchor Web Co does not create PostHog person profiles. You can use “Limit analytics” in the website footer to stop future replay and analytics-cookie use. Limited analytics measures pages and interactions without storing a PostHog analytics identifier in your browser.
How the information is used
- To deliver a requested health report or acknowledge and respond to an enquiry.
- To prepare a relevant build, hosting and care recommendation.
- To protect forms from spam, abuse and delivery failures.
- To understand which pages and campaigns produce useful enquiries.
- To maintain business, tax and service records where required.
A project enquiry or health-check request does not add you to a marketing list. If an optional marketing service is introduced later, it will require a separate, clear choice and include an unsubscribe option.
Services that process information
Anchor Web Co uses Amazon Web Services for website hosting, form processing, storage, email delivery and first-party analytics. PostHog Cloud in the European Union processes website analytics and privacy-masked session replays. Google Ads measurement may use browser storage or cookies for campaign and conversion measurement. Selecting “Limit analytics” in the website footer changes Google advertising and analytics storage to denied and places PostHog in cookieless mode. Google Fonts is requested to display the site typography.
Information is not sold. It may be disclosed to service providers only where needed to operate the website and respond to your request, or where disclosure is required by law.
Retention and security
Raw website analytics events are configured to expire after approximately 13 months. Unconverted form submissions and health-check runs are configured for automatic deletion after approximately 12 months. Records connected to an active client, contract, invoice, dispute or legal obligation may be kept for longer where reasonably necessary.
Reasonable technical controls include encrypted AWS storage, restricted service permissions, HTTPS delivery, rate limiting and spam filtering. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
Full analytics is enabled by default. You can select “Limit analytics” in the website footer at any time. A necessary first-party preference cookie then remembers your choice for six months and contains only that setting. The same footer control can re-enable full analytics later.
You can ask what personal information is held about you, request a correction or deletion where appropriate, or raise a privacy question by emailing info@anchorwebco.com.au. Include enough detail to identify the relevant enquiry without sending sensitive information.
